Which Advancements in Technology Directly Benefited the Price of Food?

A famous author once said, “The greatest discovery of the twentieth century was the discovery of what constitutes food.” This author is predicting a huge increase in protein consumption around the world due to a technological breakthrough which indirectly contributed to the cattle boom. Technological advances allowed farmers to grow much more grain per acre, allowing them to feed their cattle more cheaply. This directly contributed to the rising prices of beef around the world. The author goes on to say, “What did next is just a matter of getting it to market more quickly.”

I was recently discussing this with an acquaintance and we got to thinking about what else that advancements in technology directly contributed to the rise in prices of beef around the world. My acquaintance then said that one of the biggest advancements which directly contributed to the rise in prices was the invention of the MRE. He said that before this invention the military needed a very stable place to live, they couldn’t camp out and sleep in tents anymore, they had to find portable buildings which they could erect themselves. The military personnel settled for these kinds of buildings, which were also called RVs. As time went by, these portable buildings became the standard for military accommodation.

So, while the military personnel were away at war, prices went down because there wasn’t any need to stay in hotels. As the war wound down, the military had to find ways to send supplies back home. They relied on cargo ships to bring supplies back and forth between bases across the country. Because of this, the military began to purchase large amounts of MRE meals, which is why the price of beef has gone up in the past few decades.

The other big advancement which directly contributed to the increase in beef prices was the development of the RVs. These vehicles are much larger than regular vehicles. Because of their size, they can carry large quantities of provisions and equipment. While they can be easily rolled over a flatbed truck, they can get damaged if they’re parked next to a tank or other fuel storage vessel. Thus, the sale of RVs has increased dramatically in recent years.

The last major advancement which directly contributed to the increase in beef prices was the growth of genetically modified foods. These foods have been heavily regulated in the past few years, but that didn’t stop them from becoming extremely popular all over the world. In fact, beef is now the most consumed meat in the world.

While all of these advancements have their own specific reasons for being. Some of the more direct advancements which directly contributed to the price of beef were the improvements made to the safety of the animals used for beef. Before, cows could accidentally get sick with serious diseases. However, antibiotics have now been introduced into the beef industry. And the number of sick cows has greatly decreased.

Another advancement that directly contributed to the price of beef was the invention of the trans-fats. The trans-fat was designed to replace saturated fats in the diet that contribute to high cholesterol levels. This has in turn, drastically reduced the amount of cholesterol that should be present in the body.

In conclusion, we can say that there are many advancements in technology directly related to the price of food. One of the most important examples is the development of trans fat. Another example is the invention of the electric frying pan, which dramatically reduced the amount of time needed to cook the steak. Another example is the development of the nonstick cookware, which reduces the need to use butter or other cooking fats. And, finally, another very important example of an improvement in technology directly contributed to the price of food is the invention of the vacuum food sealer which significantly lowered the amount of time needed for preparing steaks.
